Graphic Art Photo Print Shop

Photo Print Shop

Graphic Art includes a fabulous study in Photo Print Art.  For many artist this is considered a lesser study and not fair because someone can use software to create these beautiful images.  However, graphic art is driven by the same thing that drives most art and that is money.  It would be great if money were not the driving factor behind art so that an artist could create beauty on her own terms.  However the other thing to consider is that money also indicates what culture and society identify as beautiful.  It may not always be a pure identifier of beauty, because art critics can influence the price of a piece or the value of an artist’s collection without any real connection to beauty.

I love these photo print shop pieces that contain a crossover of humanity and human culture with nature and the culture of animal and plant life.  Somehow they make very large statements that could be made more subtly with traditional styles of art like paint or sculpture.  However the fisherman pulling in a trout as the image of a shark rises beneath him is a fabulous photo print shop artist idea of how we mess with nature and water life and then we put ourselves at risk.  These messages have value and even though the critique of the art itself may be insulting, the photo print shop art can impact our society in a very positive way.

3-d Sidewalk Art

3-d Sidewalk Art

3-d sidewalk art is some of the most amazing art work that I have ever seen.  For me there are several factors that make it so amazing.  One of the things that makes 3-d sidewalk art so great is the canvas is the sidewalk out in the public which I believe increases the beauty even though it reduces the financial value of the piece.  Another thing that sets this kind of graphic art work apart is the fact that weather can have such a huge impact on the piece.  For a piece that is labor intensive and can be washed away of smudged so easily it is a huge risk each time an artist starts 3-d artwork even questioning whether the weather will hinder the completion of the piece.

3-d Sidewalk Art the Display

The integration of the artist into the piece to finalize its beauty is incredible.  I have seen some artist really stretch to do a gallery piece that integrated their body into the work, but 3d sidewalk art makes things a little more effortless and natural as it were.   Of course in order for the full beauty of the piece to be realized the camera taking a shot of the integration has to be placed perfectly.  I found out when trying to capture an angle that it is very difficult to get the 3d effect because everything in the shot plays a role in setting the 3d effect. So buildings, shadows, cars, other people, curbs, trees, etc…. all have an impact on how the eye perceives the final photograph and whether or not it is truly 3-d sidewalk art.
